Our journey began with Sir Michael Chastanet, a visionary entrepreneur who, alongside his wife Judy, laid the foundation for what has become a cherished family-owned hotel. Sir Michael’s commitment to Saint Lucia’s community and his dedication to creating a welcoming space for travelers have guided the resort from its earliest days.
Today, the legacy is carried forward by his children: Feolla, who brings her marketing expertise to share our story with the world, and Allen, whe for years…. Adding fresh energy and perspective is Rhyan, Sir Michael’s granddaughter, who continues the family tradition of thoughtful hospitality.
Beyond the family, our team forms the heart of Coco Palm. Staff like Jean St. Rose …who have been with us since the beginning are living links to the hotel’s history, embodying the warmth, consistency, and dedication that make every stay special.
Rooted in both Saint Lucian and Irish heritage, thanks to Judy, Coco Palm blends Caribbean warmth with a dash of Irish wit and storytelling. Together, our family and team invite you to experience a homegrown hospitality that is personal, enduring, and uniquely our own.
Every palm has roots, Coco Palm’s run deep into Saint Lucia’s soil and Chastanet family history. Born from the vision of Sir Michael Chastanet, one of Saint Lucia’s most trailblazing entrepreneurs, Coco Resorts grew with the passion and talents of the entire family. Sir Michael, with his business foresight, secured property in Rodney Bay long before it became the vibrant hub it is today. Alongside him, Lady Judy Chastanet brought her touch of elegance through interior design, Feng Shui and Irish hospitality, shaping the warm, welcoming atmosphere that Coco Palm is known for today.
Their children, Allen and Feolla, carried the dream forward. Allen, drawing on his decades of tourism experience from launching Windjammer Landing on his 30th birthday, to working with Chris Blackwell of Island Records on the iconic Island Outpost properties, to serving Saint Lucia as Director and later Minister of Tourism – envisioned Coco Palm as a hotel rooted in island authenticity and Caribbean flair. His sister, Feolla, brought her marketing expertise, having promoted Saint Lucia worldwide with the Tourist Board and in the hotel industry, ensuring Coco Palm’s story reached travelers near and far.
Today, Coco Palm remains proudly family-owned and operated, with the next generation joining in to keep the spirit alive. Rhyan Chastanet, Allen’s daughter, now contributes to the hotel’s digital strategy and storytelling, carrying forward the legacy with fresh energy and vision.
But Coco Palm’s story isn’t only about the Chastanet family. It’s also about the team who have been part of the journey from the very beginning. Dedicated members like Mr. Jean St. Rose, who has served as General Manager since day one, and Claudine Gilbert, both honored with their 20-year pins for outstanding service to Coco Palm, embody the heart of the hotel. Together, they are family too.
Even the very bones of Coco Palm reflect the family’s roots. Much of the furniture in the rooms and lobby was relocated from the Chastanets’ ancestral home in Martinique, offering guests a glimpse of the same Caribbean lifestyle the family grew up with. From the décor to the cuisine, from the Pitons to Pigeon Island, Coco Palm is designed to give every guest not just a stay, but a taste of Saint Lucian life where food that warms the soul, music lifts the spirit, and hospitality feels like home.
At Coco Palm, you’re not just visiting Saint Lucia. You’re becoming part of a story that has been growing for generations.

Disappointing experience, poor service Very poor service in this hotel, I do not recommend that you visit here there are other options in the Rodney Bay Area to choose instead. The shower in the room was broken, the soap dispenser was broken, the balcony door was broken leaving a lovely gap for creatures to enter the room. Checking in as a solo woman it was very disheartening that the man behind the desk Calle Doug my room number loudly - this is a safety risk?????!!!! Surely this should be known for the staff. The breakfast was weak, cold bakes, ants crawling on the Saltfish serving spoon. The room was kinda clean but not clean enough to feel comfortable in, and to top it all off when I was departing I asked about 5 times for help to bring my cases down, nobody answered and nobody helped. I had time bound plans so it was distressing to be ignored for 20 minutes and have to carry all four bags myself - the woman behind the desk was calling for help but to no avail- nobody answered, nobody helped and one rude man came when I basically had already brought the bags down myself and done all the work- and then muttered something rude about me whilst flailing his arms, I was upset and irate and understandably so. The single biggest waste of my hard earned money this calendar year.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

A wonderful stay at Coco Palm! We had such a fantastic experience here and felt welcome from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. The staff were incredibly kind, always greeting us with genuine warmth and making us feel completely at home. Their hospitality really made our stay special. The restaurant was excellent — every meal was fresh, flavourful, and clearly prepared with care. We looked forward to dining there each day. The pool area was also lovely, with plenty of sun loungers and a relaxed atmosphere that made it easy to unwind. The location is perfect too. It’s just a five‑minute walk to the beach, so getting out for a swim or a sunset stroll couldn’t be easier. Everything you need is close by, yet the hotel still feels peaceful and welcoming. Coco Palm offers a brilliant mix of comfort, great food, and outstanding service. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting beautiful St Lucia and will definitely be back.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

A wonderful first visit This was my first time in St Lucia, and I stayed at the beautiful Coco Palm resort. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. The staff treated us like family throughout our stay. We were upgraded to a swim‑up room, and it was absolutely stunning. The atmosphere, the comfort, and the peaceful setting made our holiday even more special. The staff were amazing — especially the ladies who cleaned our room. I want to say a heartfelt thank you for their kindness and the care they put into everything they did. On my last day, I visited Belle Touche Spa, located at the entrance of Coco Palm, for a massage and facial. It was incredible and the perfect way to end my trip. Thank you to everyone at Coco Palm for making our stay unforgettable. We will definitely be back. I will always remember room 122Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

An unforgettable St. Lucian holiday at Coco Palm As soon as we checked into Coco Palm Resort in Rodney Bay, we knew we had chosen the perfect place for our St. Lucian holiday. The hospitality of the staff was amazing, everyone immediately made us feel like family. Navigating the island and airport transfers were completely stress-free thanks to the excellent taxi service organised by the hotel. Sophie and Popo, were brilliant—incredibly professional, safe, and welcoming. A massive shoutout goes to all the bar and restaurant staff, especially Sholar and Malika. Great energy, great conversation and always attentive, which made our time at the resort very relaxing and memorable. We stayed in a spacious garden view room, which was spotlessly clean and offered lovely mountain views. The rooms were cleaned daily and had everything you need for a relaxing home from home holiday. The resort's amenities are impressive for a local boutique hotel. Every morning had a fantastic breakfast spread, featuring a well organised egg station where omelettes were cooked perfectly to order. Our sons used the gym most days, which was well equipped. The swimming pool was cleaned daily and had comfortable sunbeds available all day. Coco Palm is in a fabulous location just minutes from Reduit Beach (which is beautiful) and local shops. Coco Palm strikes the perfect balance between high-quality amenities and authentic Caribbean charm. We cannot recommend this hotel enough - we will absolutely be back for another visit.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Good hotel... Great Staff!!! This hotel is situated in an ideal location, and you have everything you need a few steps away. It's right near restaurants, banks, a shopping plaza, supermarkets, bars and even a barbershop. The staff give great service, and they're always knowledgeable answering any questions you might have about the area and what's available to you at the hotel. You'll meet Khadeja up front she'll know everything about anything concerning your stay, Eva will always make sure your room is clean and spotless and Lori will definitely tell you where to park your rental vehicle in order for her parking lot to remain accessible with vehicles being arranged properly. 10/10.
