Our journey began with Sir Michael Chastanet, a visionary entrepreneur who, alongside his wife Judy, laid the foundation for what has become a cherished family-owned hotel. Sir Michael’s commitment to Saint Lucia’s community and his dedication to creating a welcoming space for travelers have guided the resort from its earliest days.
Today, the legacy is carried forward by his children: Feolla, who brings her marketing expertise to share our story with the world, and Allen, whe for years…. Adding fresh energy and perspective is Rhyan, Sir Michael’s granddaughter, who continues the family tradition of thoughtful hospitality.
Beyond the family, our team forms the heart of Coco Palm. Staff like Jean St. Rose …who have been with us since the beginning are living links to the hotel’s history, embodying the warmth, consistency, and dedication that make every stay special.
Rooted in both Saint Lucian and Irish heritage, thanks to Judy, Coco Palm blends Caribbean warmth with a dash of Irish wit and storytelling. Together, our family and team invite you to experience a homegrown hospitality that is personal, enduring, and uniquely our own.
Every palm has roots, Coco Palm’s run deep into Saint Lucia’s soil and Chastanet family history. Born from the vision of Sir Michael Chastanet, one of Saint Lucia’s most trailblazing entrepreneurs, Coco Resorts grew with the passion and talents of the entire family. Sir Michael, with his business foresight, secured property in Rodney Bay long before it became the vibrant hub it is today. Alongside him, Lady Judy Chastanet brought her touch of elegance through interior design, Feng Shui and Irish hospitality, shaping the warm, welcoming atmosphere that Coco Palm is known for today.
Their children, Allen and Feolla, carried the dream forward. Allen, drawing on his decades of tourism experience from launching Windjammer Landing on his 30th birthday, to working with Chris Blackwell of Island Records on the iconic Island Outpost properties, to serving Saint Lucia as Director and later Minister of Tourism – envisioned Coco Palm as a hotel rooted in island authenticity and Caribbean flair. His sister, Feolla, brought her marketing expertise, having promoted Saint Lucia worldwide with the Tourist Board and in the hotel industry, ensuring Coco Palm’s story reached travelers near and far.
Today, Coco Palm remains proudly family-owned and operated, with the next generation joining in to keep the spirit alive. Rhyan Chastanet, Allen’s daughter, now contributes to the hotel’s digital strategy and storytelling, carrying forward the legacy with fresh energy and vision.
But Coco Palm’s story isn’t only about the Chastanet family. It’s also about the team who have been part of the journey from the very beginning. Dedicated members like Mr. Jean St. Rose, who has served as General Manager since day one, and Claudine Gilbert, both honored with their 20-year pins for outstanding service to Coco Palm, embody the heart of the hotel. Together, they are family too.
Even the very bones of Coco Palm reflect the family’s roots. Much of the furniture in the rooms and lobby was relocated from the Chastanets’ ancestral home in Martinique, offering guests a glimpse of the same Caribbean lifestyle the family grew up with. From the décor to the cuisine, from the Pitons to Pigeon Island, Coco Palm is designed to give every guest not just a stay, but a taste of Saint Lucian life where food that warms the soul, music lifts the spirit, and hospitality feels like home.
At Coco Palm, you’re not just visiting Saint Lucia. You’re becoming part of a story that has been growing for generations.
Bringing joy to every heart: Our shared passion for entertainment. At Coco Palm, we unite in the pursuit of creating unforgettable moments and making people smile. Join us on this exciting journey!

Posted on KatherineD Charming boutique hotel, centrally located perfect for exploring Rodney Bay Village This was our second stay at Coco Palm, the first being slightly disappointing due to a number of renovations happening at the time. We had the opportunity for a return visit this year and it was a completely different experience. After a long and tiring journey we were greeted by Claudine and her team and were made to feel so welcome. The improvements/ renovations at the hotel are fantastic. The hotels best asset are the staff who are friendly, courteous and work very hard. The hotel is in a great location, close to Rodney Bay centre where there are lots of restaurant and bar options. The beautiful Rodney Bay beach is about a 10 minute walk. Ti Bananne restaurant is delicious. We had the most amazing holiday and would highly recommend and will most definitely return. Thank you Claudine and all the team for such a special holiday.Posted on K. Michael A hidden gem in Saint Lucia Coco Palm is a Beautiful resort. Very clean facility, quaint and perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and immediately felt the resort’s family-friendly atmosphere. My 5-year-old son and 7-year-old daughter still talk about Coco Palm and the wonderful staff who made our stay so special. Claudine Gilbert your a true star the reassurance and extended care didn’t go unnoticed thank you! The Coco Palm team are a real credit to the hotel—their professionalism and warmth ensure excellent service both in the restaurant and throughout the daily operations. Our room was cleaned every day, and we were always met with smiles and genuine care. A wonderful stay at Coco Palm. Good value for money, very clean, amazing food and the nicest staff we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. We were sad to leave!Posted on Ms247 Coco for another brilliant stay I recently returned to Coco for another brilliant stay, this time while attending a wedding. Having stayed here three times now, I can confidently say I’ll be back again. The staff always make me feel welcome, and it’s lovely to see familiar faces who have been part of the team for years. Special thanks to Garnet, who went above and beyond as a waitress—she made sure my vegan breakfast was prepared on my last day, even when the kitchen thought I’d already checked out. Malika, who is currently training behind the bar, was also outstanding and very attentive. The rooms have recently been renovated and I hear the bathrooms are scheduled for refurbishment next year. Coco keeps getting better and is a wonderful place to stay.Posted on JRturling Coco Palm stay before and after Sandals Grande Coco Palm is a charming boutique hotel with about 100 rooms. It provided a nice one-night stop before heading to the Sandals Grande and again before heading home. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with friendly smiles. The staff truly deserves the highest praise. Lesa Placide was exceptionally helpful, attentive, and consistently went the extra mile to ensure our transportation was coordinated for our stays. A special thank you to Lesa for all the emails and phone calls to pre coordinate our arrival and departure. We enjoyed the hotel's onsite restaurant for its delicious Caribbean-inspired cuisine and bar after a long day of traveling. Our rooms were spacious, immaculate and much nicer than our club level room at the Sandals Grande. The king-sized bed was very comfortable and the rooms were large and well appointed. We would recommend Coco Palm for a night before or after your Sandals stay. It was very convenient with outstanding customer service. The location is a short walk from Rodney Bay and the Friday night street party. Bring your ear plugs because it is extremely loud with base pumping music till 2 am from the Rodney Bay bars and clubs located next to the hotel!Posted on Lisa M Wonderful Caribbean hotel with oodles of heart and soul Really lovely boutique style local hotel with great staff - nothing was too much trouble; yum food and a great Caribbean vibe. A mum and (teenage) daughter holiday over 14 days. Pool was great for my daughter and plenty of areas to give her space to do her own thing. My morning walk along Reduit beach was a joy. Location of hotel is fantastic- everything is close by, restaurants, coffee and local shopping. Highly recommend the hotel. And 10/10 for its warm heart delivered by all the staff from the lovely lady at the egg station, the restaurant and bar staff, the receptionists, the security on the gate and housekeeping. Thx you all.Posted on Explore669264 A delightful, relaxing, memorable stay. Exceptional Service. My first contact before I visited Coco Palm was Ms. Claudine Gilbert by phone. From the moment I heard her tone of voice, it was like a confirmation. I told my wife this is the Hotel we will choose. However, me being so meticulous, I followed up with quite a few questions by e-mails. I think there was also a second phone call. 😊 All the responses I got were so warm and encouraging. I must say that our stay was very, very enjoyable and comfortable with all the necessary amenities. No disappointment at all they met our expectations. While waiting to verify booking, we were greeted by a very professional gentleman offering a choice of cold drinks. Our booking were eventually verified by a very bubbly Ms. Carleen 😊who was so helpful and treated us like family ( We are wondering if there may be some relation. lol ) She also arranged a tour for us, to Soufriere with Popo our kind and gentle Chauffeur. The highlight was the spectacular decorations in our room for our 40th wedding anniversary. We were more than pleasantly surprised. All the staff were so very warm, attentive, pleasant, courteous etc. -- Those we had a little more interaction with -- Hotel - Carleen, Sherniah, Elisha... Meals --- Denecia, Venicia, Natasha, Erlsa and others... The meals were "Delicious", "yummy", and "scrumptious". I will surely recommend this Hotel. The location is ideal. I understand that there would be some upcoming renovations and enhancements - You can just imagine. There is so much more I can say... 😊👌💕 ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ Curtis & Francisca Rm# 216 Trinidad -- San FernandoPosted on Rachel H Most relaxing stay Coco Palm is the best hotel that we have stayed in, better than well known 5* resorts. The staff are absolutely lovely. Really friendly and made our stay very relaxing. We had a garden view suit which was very spacious and comfortable. The food was delicious, as well as the drinks. 5 minute walk to Reduit Beach, probably the best on the island. The back of the hotel goes straight out in to the main shopping road of Rodney Bay. Would definitely recommend, and stay again.
