Our journey began with Sir Michael Chastanet, a visionary entrepreneur who, alongside his wife Judy, laid the foundation for what has become a cherished family-owned hotel. Sir Michael’s commitment to Saint Lucia’s community and his dedication to creating a welcoming space for travelers have guided the resort from its earliest days.
Today, the legacy is carried forward by his children: Feolla, who brings her marketing expertise to share our story with the world, and Allen, whe for years…. Adding fresh energy and perspective is Rhyan, Sir Michael’s granddaughter, who continues the family tradition of thoughtful hospitality.
Beyond the family, our team forms the heart of Coco Palm. Staff like Jean St. Rose …who have been with us since the beginning are living links to the hotel’s history, embodying the warmth, consistency, and dedication that make every stay special.
Rooted in both Saint Lucian and Irish heritage, thanks to Judy, Coco Palm blends Caribbean warmth with a dash of Irish wit and storytelling. Together, our family and team invite you to experience a homegrown hospitality that is personal, enduring, and uniquely our own.
Every palm has roots, Coco Palm’s run deep into Saint Lucia’s soil and Chastanet family history. Born from the vision of Sir Michael Chastanet, one of Saint Lucia’s most trailblazing entrepreneurs, Coco Resorts grew with the passion and talents of the entire family. Sir Michael, with his business foresight, secured property in Rodney Bay long before it became the vibrant hub it is today. Alongside him, Lady Judy Chastanet brought her touch of elegance through interior design, Feng Shui and Irish hospitality, shaping the warm, welcoming atmosphere that Coco Palm is known for today.
Their children, Allen and Feolla, carried the dream forward. Allen, drawing on his decades of tourism experience from launching Windjammer Landing on his 30th birthday, to working with Chris Blackwell of Island Records on the iconic Island Outpost properties, to serving Saint Lucia as Director and later Minister of Tourism – envisioned Coco Palm as a hotel rooted in island authenticity and Caribbean flair. His sister, Feolla, brought her marketing expertise, having promoted Saint Lucia worldwide with the Tourist Board and in the hotel industry, ensuring Coco Palm’s story reached travelers near and far.
Today, Coco Palm remains proudly family-owned and operated, with the next generation joining in to keep the spirit alive. Rhyan Chastanet, Allen’s daughter, now contributes to the hotel’s digital strategy and storytelling, carrying forward the legacy with fresh energy and vision.
But Coco Palm’s story isn’t only about the Chastanet family. It’s also about the team who have been part of the journey from the very beginning. Dedicated members like Mr. Jean St. Rose, who has served as General Manager since day one, and Claudine Gilbert, both honored with their 20-year pins for outstanding service to Coco Palm, embody the heart of the hotel. Together, they are family too.
Even the very bones of Coco Palm reflect the family’s roots. Much of the furniture in the rooms and lobby was relocated from the Chastanets’ ancestral home in Martinique, offering guests a glimpse of the same Caribbean lifestyle the family grew up with. From the décor to the cuisine, from the Pitons to Pigeon Island, Coco Palm is designed to give every guest not just a stay, but a taste of Saint Lucian life where food that warms the soul, music lifts the spirit, and hospitality feels like home.
At Coco Palm, you’re not just visiting Saint Lucia. You’re becoming part of a story that has been growing for generations.

Posted on David T Excellent Stay Great experience. Beautiful grounds, pool, accommodations. Dinner was excellent at restaurant access the breakfast buffet. Easy walk to the beach.Posted on Evolve P A lovely base for a St Lucian holiday. My wife and I have just enjoyed a lovely 10-day stay at Coco Palm and would highly recommend the hotel. The hotel is very clean and well-appointed. The staff are all lovely, friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious. We chose a ground-floor garden room to enjoy peace and quiet, sitting, and watching the birds. The food is exceptionally good: a buffet breakfast, an à la carte lunch, and a three-course dinner from an extensive menu. As we were staying all-inclusive, we had use of the restaurant and sampled most dishes. The food quality is better than at most hotels we have stayed at, especially all-inclusive ones. A personal favourite was the pumpkin soup, but all of the dishes are fantastic. As we hired a car and explored most days, we didn't make use of the pool or loungers, but it was very inviting and clean. The local beach was lovely, our favourite part was the far end near the water park as it was quiet, warm and still for swimming and safe from jet skis/boats. We didn't take any trips from the hotel as we had hired a car and travelled 300 miles around the island ourselves, and can highly recommend doing so. On the whole, the hotel was quiet; we only experienced two nights of noise. The first Friday night we were there, a lot of (I think locals or a political rally) people were very shouty/singing in the corridors and outside in the garden, which wasn't ideal, but it didn't go on too long. Then on Saturday night, the house next to the hotel had a garden party with an outside DJ. This was too loud and went on too late, but it was not the hotel's fault. We are not party people and enjoy peace. Given the hotel's central location, it was mostly quiet. The area around Rodney Bay is lovely, safe, and friendly. The only issue we had with the hotel was that, on check-out, they mistakenly wanted to charge us $240 USD for a private taxi, even though we had a private transfer voucher, but it was easily sorted. If I had any suggestions, I would recommend that the hotel put a stop to guests leaving towels on sunbeds at 7 am and leaving them there all day, regardless of whether they were using them, to prevent other guests from using them. Table numbers in the restaurant would save the servers from having to ask for the guests' room number every time they ordered any food or drink during a meal; it's a small thing, but being asked your room number 4-5 times during an evening meal is a bit much, not just for us, but for the staff! Overall, a lovely, friendly, clean hotel that we would be happy to recommend.Posted on Neil H Great holiday Just returned back from Coco Palm after a great holiday. Hotel and staff where great friendly and very helpful and the food was excellent, great value for moneyPosted on Chris M Great holiday hotel We had a really great holiday at this hotel. The Staff are vey friendly and so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is very clean and spacious and very comfortable.Very well decorated. Food very good and well presented.Local area very good.Coco Palm could teach other hotels how it is done!!! Well done and thank you We highly rate you .Posted on Janelle S We came to celebrate my birthday. The staff welcomed me and made me feel quite special. The room was well cleaned. The staff were kind, courteous, and helpful. The elevators worked well. Breakfast varied from day to day and was quite delicious.Posted on Ede T I would definitely visit CocoPalm again and again and again!!! Location - Excellent! CocoPalm is close to several bars and restaurants and the Massy Supermarket and malls are all in walking distance. Atmosphere - Great atmosphere; lost of flowers and pool was kept clean. Rooms- I stayed in a suite this time and it was wonderful. 2 showers and 2 toilets, along with a bathtub. The only issue was figuring out the safe- perhaps these should be updated so that it is a simple process of putting in a code to lock and unlock. Nosie level - was at a minimum and I did not have any issues with this. Service - outstanding. The room attendant was very good and helpful; staff at breakfast and at the bar were very accommodating and pleasant. The front desk staff were always on point and should be commended. Amenities - I enjoyed using the gym, although it was somewhat small and could be crowded at times. CP needs to invest in more dumbbells and more cardio machines - there was only one working treadmill but the weight machines and the squat rack were adequate. I did not use the pool but it was certainly beautiful to look at.Posted on KatherineD Charming boutique hotel, centrally located perfect for exploring Rodney Bay Village This was our second stay at Coco Palm, the first being slightly disappointing due to a number of renovations happening at the time. We had the opportunity for a return visit this year and it was a completely different experience. After a long and tiring journey we were greeted by Claudine and her team and were made to feel so welcome. The improvements/ renovations at the hotel are fantastic. The hotels best asset are the staff who are friendly, courteous and work very hard. The hotel is in a great location, close to Rodney Bay centre where there are lots of restaurant and bar options. The beautiful Rodney Bay beach is about a 10 minute walk. Ti Bananne restaurant is delicious. We had the most amazing holiday and would highly recommend and will most definitely return. Thank you Claudine and all the team for such a special holiday.Posted on K. Michael A hidden gem in Saint Lucia Coco Palm is a Beautiful resort. Very clean facility, quaint and perfect. I loved the atmosphere and the service. The wonderful lady at the front desk was phenomenal. Her warm smile and kind demeanor was just what the doctor ordered after a long travel day.Posted on LLR320 Enjoyed my stay Very friendly staff, clean rooms and property, beautiful pool and grounds. Nice and quiet. Suitable for couples and families. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious.Posted on Rachel H Most relaxing stay Coco Palm is the best hotel that we have stayed in, better than well known 5* resorts. The staff are absolutely lovely. Really friendly and made our stay very relaxing. We had a garden view suit which was very spacious and comfortable. The food was delicious, as well as the drinks. 5 minute walk to Reduit Beach, probably the best on the island. The back of the hotel goes straight out in to the main shopping road of Rodney Bay. Would definitely recommend, and stay again.
