Coco Palm Resort Updates

August 2026
August: Celebration, Relaxation and Rejuvenation

As late summer settles over Saint Lucia, the island embraces a quiet, reflective rhythm. The month opens with Emancipation Day on August 1st, a moment of deep historical significance across the island, honouring heritage and resilience.

As August draws to a close, the streets come alive once more for Fèt La Rose, Saint Lucia's beloved Festival of the Rose. Members of "La Rose" society don red costumes and honour the rose through music, performances, and symbolic rituals rooted in longstanding cultural societies.

At Coco Palm, August is the perfect month to slow down and savour the island at its most authentic. Gourmet dining by day, poolside drinks and live music by night. Our new Dine the Night Away experience offers a balanced on- and off-property stay, gently guiding you to discover all the island has to offer.

Dine the Night Away at Coco Palm

Dine the Night Away!

We're inviting our guests to experience Rodney Bay like never before. Book 5 nights or more at our standard BnB rate, and we'll upgrade you — complimentary — to our new Dine the Night Away package: breakfast, lunch, and all your drinks included throughout your stay.

It's the best of both worlds. Spend your days wandering the village's street food, beach side gourmet dining scene, then return to us as evening falls for sundowners in our tropical poolside oasis, where live music and good vibes abound.

No choosing between exploring and unwinding — with Dine the Night Away, you get both, effortlessly.

Available on qualifying stays of 5+ nights or more. Speak to our reservations team or book direct to have it added to your stay.

Wellness Starts in Saint Lucia

Here at Coco Palm, wellness is woven into everyday life. Our 24-hour gym is available whenever you need it, our large lagoon-style pool is the perfect spot to cool off and unwind, and our weekly schedule of fitness activities keeps things active and social throughout your stay. (Even our staff get in on it, with an ongoing steps challenge of their own!)

We offer catamaran sailing tours, available as part of a package or as an addition to your stay, taking guests down to the south of the island and into the serene Marigot Bay.

August on the island naturally embodies restful, grounding energy, as everyone winds down after an eventful Carnival season. One of our most popular excursions includes a hillside hike along the Tet Paul Nature Trail, lined with stunning views, where you'll pass fresh herbs and spices along the way up, learning their stories as you go.

It's a day that asks a little more of you physically, but rewards you with some of the most breathtaking views the island has to offer, including sweeping vistas of the Pitons.

CPL Season in Full-Swing

Cricket fever has well and truly arrived on island. The 2026 Caribbean Premier League got underway on 7 August in St Vincent, and Saint Lucia Kings opened their campaign in style — edging Antigua & Barbuda Falcons by four runs in a nail-biter, with Andries Gous smashing 82 off just 51 balls to set up the win.

Now the action shifts home: from 12–21 August, the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground right here in Gros Islet takes centre stage, hosting five matches as the Kings look to build on that momentum in front of their own crowd. Coco Palm St. Lucia has long been a home away from home for CPL players, and this month we're delighted to welcome cricket fans from across the globe to soak up the atmosphere, the rum, and the runs alongside us.

Step For Your Health: Our Team is On the Move

This month, we're excited to share a little of what's happening behind the scenes here at Coco Palm — because a happy, healthy team is at the very heart of the warm welcome we hope you feel every day you're with us.

From 19th August to 10th September, our staff are lacing up for the "Step For Your Health" challenge, a friendly property-wide step count competition designed to get everyone moving, laughing, and cheering each other on.

Team members will track their daily steps, aiming for a shared weekly goal of 60,000 steps, with photos of progress shared along the way to keep the energy and encouragement flowing. At the end of the three weeks, our top three steppers will be recognised with a prize — though if you ask around, most of the team will tell you the real win is the friendly rivalry and team spirit that builds along the way.

It's just one small way we like to look after each other here on property — because when our team feels their best, that positive energy has a way of finding its way into every corner of your stay.

As we move into August, there's a real sense of excitement here at Coco Palm as we wrap up a truly great summer season and look ahead to all that's still to come this fall.

Carnival was a wonderful celebration for us this year. The property was packed, and our team was thrilled to see so many familiar faces return for such a beloved occasion.

Looking forward to the upcoming UK showcase, we'll have the chance to welcome partners seeing us for the first time in years, alongside plenty of new faces too. It's a moment we're genuinely looking forward to, as we continue building on the momentum of a wonderful summer and carry that energy into the season ahead.

We wish you all a restful end to your summer, and hope to see you by the poolside soon!

With heartfelt gratitude,
Simone Skinner
